Update May 21, 2020:
The Ontario government annunced additional workplaces that can reopen, including health and community service providers. Workplaces must comply with public health guidelines.
THRIVE Child Development Centre/centre de développement de l’enfant takes this directive seriously and is working hard to prepare for a safe re-opening for all visitors and for the staff who serve and support Algoma’s children and youth with disabilities and their families. We are busy working together to ensure the safety and well-being of all those we serve and the staff who provide services.
We will post regular updates about our re-opening plans on THRIVE’s website and Facebook page.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we prepare.
Together we will get through this
As we all continue to do our part in reducing the impact of COVID-19 on our communities, THRIVE’s Board of Directors has approved our decision to remain closed to the public until further notice. BUT, we are here to support you! Our staff are working from home, providing services to THRIVE’s children, youth and their families through telehealth practices. We are committed to doing what we can to assist the children and youth we support to continue their journey toward their personal extraordinary.
To our clients and families, you can connect with us by calling and leaving a message on our main phone line at 705-759-1131, ex. 0 or toll-free at 1-855-759-1131. You can also leave a message for any staff member on their THRIVE extension. Everyone is checking their messages regularly so you will hear back from us fairly quickly.
Are you a new family looking for services? Please dial ex. 2 to reach our referral line and someone from our social work team will assist you.
In these difficult times, we hope you are safe and keeping well. We are all in this together and together we will get through this.
