Update – January 13, 2021
The Provincial Government has declared a second state of emergency as well as a stay at home order as of 12:01 am January 14th for all of Ontario. THRIVE is committed to safety and well-being of you, our clients and families, as well as of our staff. This means the majority of services will be provided virtually until further notice. In-person visits will continue for children and youth requiring urgent service that cannot be delivered virtually. Please note you may receive calls from a blocked number as our staff are working remotely.

Update – June 30th, 2020
The safety and well-being of our children, families and staff remains our top priority in the development of THRIVE’s Resumption and Re-entry plan for in-person services. We will begin gradual in-person services over the coming weeks and months. Our approach is aligned with the Federal, Provincial and Public Health guidelines and we will continue to follow the directions provided.
We have been working on key areas to ensure we are ready to resume in-person services. Our focus has included procurement of all the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), making sure there is appropriate distancing at all of our sites and providing the necessary training to ensure the safety of our staff, children and families. We will gradually begin resuming in-person services as of July 13th. The re-opening of our Preschool program will be announced at a later date. Our in-person services will be starting with a group of children who require urgent care where virtual care is not effective. We will continue to review our in-person service delivery as we plan to continue to gradually increase the number of appointments over the coming weeks.
To ensure everyone’s safety, only clients with scheduled appointments will be able to enter on site with one accompanying caregiver and both will be screened during the initial call and upon entry. A THRIVE staff member will contact you if an in-person service appointment can be scheduled. During your in-person service, our staff will be wearing the appropriate PPE as recommended from the Public Health guidelines.

We are committed to continuing to provide you with the best quality care and services during these unprecedented times. As we all continue to do our part in reducing the impact of COVID-19 on our communities, THRIVE’s Board of Directors has approved our decision to remain closed to the public until further notice. BUT, we are here to support you! Our staff are working from home, providing services to THRIVE’s children, youth and their families through telehealth practices. We are committed to doing what we can to assist the children and youth we support to continue their journey toward their personal extraordinary.
